MINNEAPOLIS (03/05/2018) – The Minneapolis-St. Paul office of Cushman & Wakefield has added Tom Tracy and Katie Tufford, CPM, both formerly of The Excelsior Group, to its downtown Minneapolis office leasing team.
Tracy, a nearly 30-year commercial real estate professional in the Twin Cities, rejoins the firm following three years with The Excelsior Group. Prior to that, he spent 18 years with the company, as one of the top leasing professionals in the Twin Cities. Tracy was named MNCAR Broker of the Year in 2013 and served as the organization’s president in 2012.
Tufford is an industry veteran with 15 years of experience working on such Class A Minneapolis properties as Fifth Street Towers and International/Oracle Centre. Most recently she led the redevelopment, repositioning and lease-up of West End Office Park in St. Louis Park as the property’s General Manager.
“We’re excited to welcome Tom and Katie to Cushman & Wakefield,” said Mike Ohmes, Managing Principal of the Minneapolis-St. Paul office. “Tom is one of the most respected and successful brokers in the industry, and Katie has a dynamic track record and has created an impeccable reputation in our market.”
Tracy and Tufford will work on several key downtown Minneapolis assets owned by Cushman & Wakefield clients, including Ford Center, the Loose Wiles Building, and The Nordic, among others.
“Katie and I have considerable experience in leasing, acquisitions, development, redevelopment, asset management and property management,” said Tracy. “Our diverse background offers unique perspective in the market and will create maximum value for our clients. Cushman & Wakefield’s leading Twin Cities team, resources and global reach make this an ideal platform for our business.”
Tracy and Tufford will join a downtown Minneapolis team of professionals including Mark Stevens and Peter Fitzgerald who also provide agency leasing services to office investors in the Central Business District.
Tracy and Tufford will work out of Cushman & Wakefield’s downtown Minneapolis office at IDS Center, which houses approximately 40 commercial real estate professionals. Cushman & Wakefield employs approximately 460 as part of its Minnesota operations.
