MINNEAPOLIS (10/17/2018) – Merchant & Gould, a leading full-service intellectual property law firm, will relocate its Minneapolis offices from the IDS Center to Fifth Street Towers.
The Cushman & Wakefield team of Paul Donovan, Jaclyn May and Jeremy Striffler advised the firm, which was founded in 1900, in its real estate decision making process. Jennifer Stumm, Senior Project Manager, will oversee the buildout of the new space on the client’s behalf.
The move, to take place in August 2019, will allow the firm to create a more collaborative space better suited for the current practice, innovative culture, future firm growth and ongoing client needs.
“Since moving into our current space nearly 18 years ago, advances in technology have allowed us to move to an environmentally-sound, paperless environment and significantly reduce our footprint,” said Christopher Leonard, Managing Director, CEO and Chairman of the Board for Merchant & Gould. “For example, we no longer require the extra space allotted for an expansive library, obsolete file cabinets, and outdated equipment and systems. The new set-up will be more efficient with one-size offices; have more collaborative, open workspaces; feature ergonomic furnishings and more natural light for a healthier work environment, and include updated technology in a state-of-the-art setting.”
The firm will occupy 40,246 square feet on the 21st and 22nd floors of the 150 Fifth Street Towers building beginning late next summer.
